The 12th Armenian Medical World Congress will be held from May 31 to June 2 in Buenos Aires (Argentina). For the first time, Armenian doctors will get together in the South American continent.
With the initiatives of diaspora doctors’, since the first congress in 1976 in Beirut this organization has undertaken an important mission: to develop the country’s healthcare system by combining the medical potential of the world.
To combine all the congresses, Armenian Medical International Committee (AMIC) founded in Montreal in 1990 had a major contribution to the arrangement of congresses since 1992 Paris congress.
Currently the president of AMIC is Jerry Manoukian (California, USA).
The organizers of AMIC have adopted new approaches parallel to new challenges.
As the president of the 12th Congress Daniel Stamboulian states, the focus of the recent years’ congresses by innovative approaches has become more scientific, serving not only for the specialists’ development, but also becoming an information platform of international news, achievements and innovative approaches of the industry for the Armenian healthcare community of the whole world.
The motto of the 12th Congress in Buenos Aires is “Health promotion, integration and innovation challenges”.
President of the Congress, famous doctor in Argentina, epidemiologist, founder of “Fidec Armenia” Foundation for Combating Infectious Diseases, Daniel Stamboulian, calls the Armenian doctors and nurses from all over the world to seize the opportunity and visit Buenos Aires to gain more knowledge, exchange experiences, discuss the challenges of Armenia's healthcare system and ways to overcome them.
It is noteworthy that Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Armenia has carried activities with the organizers of the 12th Armenian Medical World Congress and the Armenian community in Argentina to make the participation of Armenian doctors and nurses as accessible and interesting as possible.
